Show All Clients for iShifts (Released Jul 8, 2026)

Giv now allows all clients to be displayed when starting impromptu shifts, enabling shifts to be started with clients whose services fall outside of standard budgeted billing.

🧩 Overview

This release gives agencies more accurate visibility into clients during impromptu shifts, for cases where clients fall outside standard budgeted billing — such as clients on auto spend-down budgets. Previously, once a client's available budget ran out, they could disappear from the Staff client list when starting an impromptu shift, and would also be left off the "Clients" section of the post-shift report. This release addresses both gaps.

👥 Impacted Users

Agency administrators, who configure the new Shift Settings toggle. Caregivers are also affected: when the setting is enabled, they'll see all of their assigned clients — including those without remaining budget — when starting an impromptu shift.

✨ New Features and Feature Enhancements

New dashboard setting: "Show all clients on impromptu shifts" — Found on the Dashboard. Navigate to Feature Settings → Shift Settings and a new toggle labeled, “Show all clients on Impromptu Shifts” (visible when impromptu shifts are enabled) will be present, this toggle controls whether caregivers see all assigned clients, including those with no remaining budget, when adding clients to an impromptu shift. Off by default, and scoped to the caregiver app only — other dashboard views are unaffected.

✨ Feature Set and Affected Other Feature Areas

This work centers on the client list used when starting an impromptu shift in the caregiver app. It also touches: Shift Settings on the dashboard (new toggle), and the post-shift report (Clients section now reflects all clients on the shift).

🐛 Issues and Bug Fixes

Post-shift reports only listed clients with service records in the "Clients" section, even if other clients were part of the shift. This is now fixed — the section returns every client selected when the shift was created.
