Overview: Shift Details

Overview of the Shift Details section in the mobile app.

The Shift Details screen serves as the central hub for managing client services and documentation during a shift. It displays the shift details and provides access to everything needed to support your clients during your shift—including tracking services, documenting goals, administering medications, completing required notes, and clocking out.

The Shift Details screen is divided into 3 sections: Shift Information, Clients, and Transportation.

Accessing Shift Details

To access Shift Details while already clocked in, tap View shift in the top-right corner of the Home screen.

Additionally, you can access Shift Details in the following ways:

  • Select a shift from the Shifts section on the Home screen or from the Shifts screen

  • Start an impromptu shift, select clients, and clock in

Note: The ability to view past shifts must be enabled by your admin team.

Shift Information

The top section of Shift Details displays the shift information, including the date, time, and location of the shift. It will also indicate whether the shift was impromptu or scheduled.

Managing Services and Clocking Out

Tap the clock icon next to the date and time to manage services, go on break, or clock out. Select from the following options:

  • Manage services: Choose this when you need to start, change, or end services you are providing. You may also use this option when you are finished providing services but will remain clocked in to do administrative or other work.

    • Ending services stops billing for the client, but your payroll timer continues.

  • Go on break: Choose this when you are taking a break from providing services and administrative tasks.

    • Going on break stops billing for the client and payroll for the DSP.

  • Clock out: Choose this when you are finished providing services and are ready to fully end your shift.

    • Clocking out stops billing for the client and payroll for the DSP.

For additional information, see Managing Services While Clocked In.

Note: The ability to stay clocked in without running a service must be enabled by your admin team.
