Whats new?
1. Caregivers Can Request Time Edits (Mobile App)
Caregivers can now submit a request to fix incorrect:
Clock-in times
Clock-out times
Break times
Example:
If a caregiver forgets to clock in for the first two hours of their shift, they can now request the correct start time directly from the app.
Once submitted, the request is sent to an admin for review.
2. Admin Review & Approval (Dashboard)
Each request will appear on the dashboard with clear visibility into:
The original time
The requested change
A simple Approve or Deny action
Admins will also see a badge on shifts indicating that a time change request is pending.
Approving a request will:
Update the shift everywhere it appears
Update billing and payroll records accordingly
Maintain compliance safeguards (no double billing)
Denying a request will:
Notify the caregiver directly in the app
No changes will be made to the shift or any of it’s corresponding records (billing and payment)
3. New Calendar & Shift Indicators
You’ll now see:
A “Requests” button on the calendar view
this is where admins can view all Time Change Requests
Request details inside the shift overview
This ensures admins never miss a time correction that needs attention.
Why This Matters
Time corrections historically required admins to manually edit shifts — a process that was slow, repetitive, and error-prone.
This new workflow:
Reduces admin workload
Improves accuracy for billing & payroll
Ensures audit-ready visibility
Allows corrections closer to the source of truth
Speeds up payroll and billing cycles
🔒 Built-In Compliance Safeguards
To ensure data accuracy, the system alerts the user of:
Staff being on two shifts at once
Clients having overlapping service records
Creating double billing via overlapping time edits
Any edits that would break compliance are automatically blocked.
