Clocking Out of Shifts

At the end of your shift, properly clock out to complete your time log and stop billing for the individual you supported.

Step 1: return to your active shift

  1. From the Home Screen, tap Go to Shift

    • You’ll see your current shift in progress at the top


Step 2: complete required shift notes (if any)

  • If shift notes (e.g., goals, medications, incidents) are required, they must be filled out before you can clock out.

  • If any are incomplete, the Clock Out option will be disabled.

📌 Check the “Shift Notes” tile—complete all required sections first.


Step 3: choose how to clock out

Once shift notes are complete, you’ll see two options:

Option 1: end services (but stay clocked in)

  • Use this if you're done providing services, but still need time to:

    • Write notes

    • Fill out reports

  • This stops billing for the individual, but your payroll timer continues

Option 2: clock out completely

  • Ends billing and clocks you out for the shift

  • Use this when you’ve finished:

    • Providing services

    • Logging documentation

Example: If you’ve completed everything for Mike Tyson, tap Clock Out


Step 4: confirm you're clocked out

  • After clocking out, the shift will no longer appear at the top of your home screen

  • You won’t be able to make edits unless granted permission by an admin
