How to set up your account, log in, and reset your password on the mobile app.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Setting up account

Once your admin team adds you as a staff member in the Dashboard using your email and phone number, you will receive an email from [email protected] with instructions to complete your account setup. The instructions include:

  1. Click the Join Now button

  2. Set up account by adding basic information and creating password

  3. Download the Giv mobile app

Logging into app

Once your account is set up, you can log into the Giv mobile app. Log in to the app using your phone number and the password you created. You will then receive a 6-digit confirmation code by text message. Enter the code and tap Confirm to access the app.

Alternatively, you can also select Send code to email to receive the 6-digit confirmation code by email instead.

Once logged in, you will see all your scheduled and past shifts. From there, you can clock in and out, view upcoming shifts, enter shift notes and medications, complete forms, submit incident reports, and more.

Note: The first time you log in to the app, you’ll be prompted to enable Notifications. The first time you attempt to clock in, you’ll be asked to grant Location Access.

Resetting password

If you forget your password, you can reset it directly from the app's login screen by following these steps:

  1. Open the app

  2. Enter your mobile number

  3. Tap Forgot Password?

  4. Enter the new password and confirm it

  5. Tap Save Changes

  6. Enter the 6-digit confirmation code sent to your phone via text message

  7. Click Confirm

After tapping Confirm, you will be redirected to the login screen. A green banner at the bottom will indicate that your password was successfully reset. Enter your new password and tap Login to access your account.
