By default, you must be clocked into your shift and running a service in order to log any goals for that client. Admins may allow you to log goals after the shift ends (setting enabled through the Dashboard).
The goals listed in the client's profile were added by your admin team through the Giv Dashboard.
Step 1: navigating to goals
When on an active shift:
Login to the app
Tap View shift at the top of the Home screen
Select the client under the Clients section
Tap the Goals tile near the top of the screen
Note: If no goals appear, the client has no goals assigned to them in their client profile. Contact your admin team.
Step 2: logging goal progress
Select the goal worked on during the shift
Add the Time Completed
Fill out each field
Tap Log Activity
Goals are stored at the shift level and tied to the client.
Staff may use the microphone feature on their phone to dictate goal progress instead of typing, if preferred.
Note: You can log progress toward multiple goals or the same goal more than once during a shift.
Logging attempted goals
If a goal was attempted but not completed, turn on Enabling this indicates that you attempted the goal, but it was not completed for some reason. This will remove custom fields tied to the goal's outcome and instead ask for Time Attempted and Attempt Details.
Reviewing logged goals
To view completed goal activities on a shift, tap View History in the Goal tile. Tap any entry to pull up its full details. Ensure all documentation is tied to the correct service and time.
Adding goal progress after a completed shift
If enabled by your admin team, you can also go back in later and log goals after the shift finishes.
To access completed shifts:
Login to the app
Scroll down to the Shifts section on the Home screen
Select the Past tab
Tap the past shift you want to add notes
Select the client under the Clients section
Tap the Goals tile
Fill out the details
Tap Save
