Clocking In and Out of Scheduled Shifts

How to clock in and out of a scheduled shift, as a DSP, in the mobile app.

Clocking In

Depending on your agency’s configuration, you may only be allowed to clock in while providing services to a client, or you may be allowed to clock in without a service in progress. Clocking in without a service is commonly used to track administrative work, training, or meetings.

How to clock in:

  1. Login to the app

  2. Scroll down to the Shifts section on the Home screen

  3. Find and tap your scheduled shift

Choose one of the following options to clock in:

Option 1: clock in without starting a service

  1. Tap the clock icon in the top right corner

  2. Tap Clock in at the bottom

This begins your time tracking (payroll), but doesn’t start billing yet.

Option 2: clock in and start services

  1. Tap the clock icon in the top right corner

  2. Tap Clock in and start services at the bottom

  3. Select the client and choose which service you will run (only services added to the client’s budget will appear)

  4. Tap Clock in and start services at the top

This begins your time tracking (payroll) and starts the billing for the selected service code.


Clocking Out

How to clock out:

  1. Login to the app

  2. Tap View shift at the top of the Home screen

  3. Select the client you are in service with (listed under Clients)

  4. Tap the Notes tile near the top of the screen

  5. Fill out any required shift notes

  6. Tap the clock icon in the top right corner

  7. Choose from one of the 3 options:

    • Manage services: Use this if you are done providing services but will stay clocked in. Select the client, tap End Service, and then tap Confirm changes.

      • This stops billing for the client, but your payroll timer continues.

    • Go on break

    • Clock out: Use this if you are done providing services and fully clocking out. Tap Clock out to end the shift.

      • This stops billing for the client and payroll for the DSP.

Note: If you try to clock out without completing required shift notes, you will see this error: You must complete all required Client Notes before checking out clients or clocking out.


Starting, Changing, and Ending Services

To start a service (after clocking in without starting a service):

  1. Tap View shift at the top of the Home screen

  2. Tap the clock icon in the top right corner

  3. Tap Manage services

  4. Select the client and choose the service you will run (only services added to the client’s budget will appear)

  5. Tap Confirm changes

To change a service (after completing one service and starting another):

  1. Tap View shift at the top of the Home screen

  2. Tap the clock icon in the top right corner

  3. Tap Manage services

  4. Select the client and choose End Service

  5. Tap the new service you are running (only services added to the client’s budget will appear)

  6. Tap Confirm changes

To end services but remain clocked in:

  1. Tap View shift at the top of the Home screen

  2. Tap the clock icon in the top right corner

  3. Tap Manage services

  4. Select the client and choose End Service

  5. Tap Confirm changes
