You will clock in and out of your scheduled shifts using the mobile app. This helps ensure accurate time tracking for billing, payroll, and documentation purposes.
Clocking Into Shifts
There are two available clock-in methods:
Clock in and start a service
Clock in without running a service (clock in only)
The ability to clock in without starting a service must be enabled by your admin team. This method is commonly used to track administrative work, training, or meetings.
You can clock in any time up until the end of your scheduled shift. If you do not clock in by then, the shift will be marked as Missed.
Clock In and Start a Service
Login to the app
Scroll down to the Shifts section on the Home screen
Find and tap your scheduled shift
Tap the clock icon in the top right corner

Tap Clock in and start services at the bottom
Select the client and choose which service you will run**
Tap Clock in and start services near the top
This begins your time tracking (payroll) and starts the billing for the selected service code.
**Only services added to the client's budget will appear here. If you do not see the service after selecting the client, contact your admin team.
Clock In Only (Without Starting a Service)
Login to the app
Scroll down to the Shifts section on the Home screen
Find and tap your scheduled shift
Tap the clock icon in the top right corner

Tap Clock in at the bottom
This begins your time tracking (payroll), but doesn’t start billing yet.
Clocking Out of Shifts
To clock out, first ensure that all required notes for the client are filled out. If you try to clock out without completing required shift notes, you will receive an error and be unable to clock out. See Logging Shift Notes for more information.
To clock out:
Login to the app
Tap View shift at the top of the Home screen
Tap the clock icon in the top right corner

Choose from one of the three options below:
Manage services: Use this option when you are finished providing services but will remain clocked in to do administrative or other work. Select the client, tap End Service, and then tap Confirm changes.
This stops billing for the client, but your payroll timer continues.
Go on break: Use this option when you are taking a break from providing services and administrative tasks.
This stops billing for the client and payroll for the DSP.
Clock out: Use this option when you are finished providing services and are ready to fully end your shift.
This stops billing for the client and payroll for the DSP.
Starting, Changing, and Ending Services
Starting, changing, and editing services can be done while clocked into your shift. See Managing Services While Clocked In for more information.
Person Specific Training
When selecting a service for a client, you may see a red Training required label under their name.
In order to start a service with the client, you will first need to acknowledge that you have read and understand their Person Specific Training.
To acknowledge the training:
Select the client
Scroll through and review all the information
Check I agree to the above statement at the bottom
Tap Acknowledge
These steps are required before starting a service with a client for the first time, more than 30 days have passed since your last shift with the client, or any information in their client profile has been updated.
Once the Person Specific Training has been acknowledged, you can start services with the client.
Budget Warnings
If the budget for the service you are running is nearing its limit, specific warning messages will appear. See Budget Warnings for more information.
