Overview: Analytics

Overview of the Analytics section in the Dashboard.

Use Analytics to explore your agency data with AI and build dashboards with charts and tables. All questions and chart requests are submitted through the AI Analytics Insights panel, which will answer your questions and generate the tables and charts you request. The resulting tables and charts on the dashboard can be refreshed, have their date range changed, and be exported.

You can create multiple dashboards, and each dashboard can include multiple charts and tables.

Accessing Analytics

  1. Click Reports in the left menu

  2. Click Analytics in the slide-out menu

Note: If Analytics appears in the left menu in your account, you can open it directly from there.

Creating a Dashboard

  1. Click Create Dashboard in the top-right corner

  2. Click the pencil at the top, enter a name, and click the blue check mark

  3. Click Analyze Insights

You can now use the Insights panel to ask questions about your data or request specific charts and tables.

Asking Questions

You can use the AI Dashboard Insights panel to ask questions about your agency data:

  1. With the AI Dashboard Insights open, type your question in the Ask anything box

  2. Click the blue arrow or press Enter to submit your question

  3. Wait for the AI to analyze your question and provide an answer

  4. If the AI needs additional information, it will ask clarifying questions. Answer the questions as needed

  5. Review the response to find your answer

Some questions may also return a chart or table that visually displays the information. If you want to add the full chart or table to the dashboard, select its image in the response.

The AI may show statuses such as thinking, planning, or exploring data while it generates a response.

Larger data sets may take longer to analyze.

Example Prompts

  • How much overtime are we paying in the last month?

  • How many hours did John Smith work in the month of July?

Creating a Chart or Table

You can also use the AI Dashboard Insights panel to request a specific chart or table:

  1. With the AI Dashboard Insights open, type your request in the Ask anything box

  2. Click the blue arrow or press Enter to submit your prompt

  3. Wait for the AI to analyze your request and generate the chart or table

  4. If the AI needs additional information about how you want the data analyzed or displayed, it will ask clarifying questions. Answer the questions as needed

  5. Review the proposed chart or table and confirm that the layout and information are what you want. If the result is correct, select its image in the response to add it to the dashboard

  6. If changes are needed, enter a new prompt with the additional information or instructions. Once the layout is correct, select the chart or table image in the response to add it to the dashboard

Enter additional prompts to add more charts or tables to the dashboard.

Note: Charts, graphs, and tables cannot currently be rearranged on the dashboard.

Example Prompts

  • Make me a table of all shifts that lasted over 24 hours in the last 2 months. I want columns for Date of the Visit, Start and End Time, Caregiver, Client, and Total Shift Hours.

  • Create a chart that shows number of clients vs number of goals completed for the month of March.

Managing a Dashboard

At the top of a dashboard, when the AI Dashboard Insights panel is closed, you will see these icons for managing the entire dashboard:

  • Trash: Delete the entire dashboard

  • Refresh: Refresh all charts and tables on the dashboard

  • Export: Export the entire dashboard

  • Chat: Open the Insights side panel to ask new questions

Each individual chart or table includes:

  • Date range: Change the date range to view different data

  • Refresh: Refresh the data for that individual item

  • Trash: Delete the individual item

  • Export: Export the individual item

Note: If you do not see the Export button on an individual chart or the dashboard, contact the Support team. They can enable the export setting for you.

Using the Insights Side Panel

Click Analyze Insights when creating a dashboard, or click the Chat icon from an existing dashboard, to open the Insights side panel.

To update a chart or table, enter a new prompt with the desired changes. The AI will generate an updated result that you can add to the dashboard.

Prompts and messages remain available while you stay on the dashboard but are cleared when you leave. Use the trash icon to clear the chat without leaving the page.

Important: Your charts and tables are saved when you leave the dashboard, but your prompts and chat messages are not. Copy anything you want to keep.
