Advanced Charting

Chart for any client on a shift, not just assigned ones.

Updated over 2 months ago

Overview

By default with the Giv shift experience, staff members can only chart for a client they are currently running services for or have run services for during the shift. With advanced charting, you can now allow staff to chart shift notes, goals, medications, forms and incidents for a client on a shift without having run services with them. This is a great feature to enable for group home managers, nurses who administer medications or any other staff member who may need to chart activity that isn’t the direct assigned staff member working the services.

Impacted Users

  • Direct Support Professionals

  • Admins controlling DSP settings.

New Features and Feature Enhancements

  • By default, Staff will see a toast notification that they need to be in service or have done service with the client on the shift to chart if they try to click on one of the charting types.

  • If you want to allow access to charting for staff members outside of services, on a shift, you can go to the desired staff member’s profile and enable advanced charting in their profile settings.

  • Once enabled, your staff members will be able to chart any charting type (shift notes, goals, medications, forms and incident reporting) while on a shift, whether they track services with the client or not.
