Editing Completed Shifts

We walk through the need to fix the clock-in time, adjust a service window, or add missed documentation on a completed shift.

Step 1: find the completed shift

  1. Go to ShiftsScheduling

  2. Set your date range filter to include the day of the shift

  3. Use the Status Filter and select Completed

  4. Click into the shift you want to correct


Step 2: edit the billing record

  1. Click the Billing tab

  2. Click the client’s name to expand the billing entry

  3. Click Edit

  4. Adjust the Start and End Times

    • Example: Change from 3:09–3:12 to 2:00–3:30

  5. Click Save

Only billing codes assigned to the client will appear.


Step 3: update the caregiver payment record

  1. Go to the Payments tab

  2. Click Edit on the caregiver’s entry

  3. Match the Start and End Times to what you set in Billing

  4. Click Save

Keeping time entries in sync ensures payroll accuracy.


Step 4: update charting

In the Charting tab, you can:

  • View and edit existing shift notes

  • Add new shift notes as needed

  • Log goals by selecting from the list assigned to the client

  • Add medication administrations or refusals

  • Report any incidents
