Unified Staff (Phase 2 of Roles and Permissions work)

Easily manage staff, roles, and permissions from one place. This update streamlines setup, expands bulk upload options, and simplifies role creation and permission management.

Overview

We’ve introduced updates to simplify how agencies manage staff, roles, and permissions. This release is a step in the direction of consolidating staff management into a single view, enhances bulk upload capabilities, and improves role creation and permissions selection.

Impacted Users

  • Agency Administrators

  • Supervisors and Managers responsible for staff setup/staff managing

  • Any users involved in onboarding new staff or managing roles/permissions

New Features and Feature Enhancements

  • Personnel Tab / Staff Section: The “Caregivers” and “Users” will be deprecated. All staff are now listed under “Staff” with their roles and statuses.

  • Role Creation: Admins can now create new roles directly from the “+New Staff Member” button. Required fields include:

    • Role Title

    • Permissions

    • Role Description (Optional)

  • Staff Management Improvements:

    • View staff status (Active, Inactive, Invited)

    • Resend invitations to pending staff

    • Archive inactive staff

    • Search and filter staff by role or status

  • Bulk Upload for DSPs: Upload multiple staff members via CSV. Enhancements include:

    • Validating files before upload

    • Highlights errors (e.g., missing email/phone)

    • Sends invite emails once successful upload and validation of csv file

  • Feature Area: Personnel Management (Staff, Roles, and Permissions)

  • Affected Areas:

    • Caregivers and Users tabs (will be removed and consolidated into “Staff”)

    • Role and Permission Management (expanded to allow creation directly from adding a new staff workflow)
