Managing Time Change/Shift Edit Requests

How to manage and approve time change/shift edit requests in the Dashboard.

DSPs can submit time shift edit requests directly from the mobile app if they need to adjust clock-in or clock-out times. These requests appear in your Calendar for review before finalizing.


Accessing the request

  1. Click Shifts in the left menu

  2. Click Calendar in the left menu

  3. Click Requests (there will be a notification next to this button if there are any pending requests)

  4. Hover over the request and click View Details


Approving or rejecting the request

Each entry will show the original time and the requested change. Click the dropdown arrow next to Edit log to view details about the Service Provided.

To approve or reject the request:

  1. Review the request details

  2. Click Edit log to make changes to the Clock In, Clock Out, or Service Provided times

  3. If any changes were made, click Save Changes

  4. Enter any notes (optional)

  5. Select either Reject or Approve.

If the request is Rejected:

  • The DSP is notified in the app

  • No changes will be made to the shift or its corresponding billing and payments records

If the request is Approved:

  • The DSP is NOT notified

  • The shift time is updated everywhere it appears

  • The billing and payroll records are updated

Besides the Calendar view, time change requests are also displayed on individual shift overviews with a This shift has Time Change Requests banner at the top of the page. Click View all and select the request to review it.


Compliance

To ensure data accuracy, the system alerts the admin of:

  • Staff being on two shifts at once

  • Clients having overlapping service records

  • Creating double billing via overlapping time edits

Any edits that would break compliance are automatically blocked.
