Overview
Some states require strict limits on the number of billable service units within daily, weekly, or monthly timeframes. This release introduces tools for agencies to set, enforce, and track usage limits in real-time. The update ensures compliance with state regulations, prevents overbilling, and gives both administrators and caregivers visibility into remaining budgets.

The system now checks budget availability when a Direct Support Professional goes to start an Impromptu Shifts and during active shifts.
If a client doesn’t have any budget (daily, weekly, monthly) they will not appear for selection when starting an Ishift.
Caregivers receive notifications when a client is close to their budget limit:
31% budget remaining
15% budget remaining
10% budget remaining
Client has run out of budget
If no action is taken, services end automatically when the budget expires.
Caregivers are shown a follow-up in-app notification explaining:
A budget is nearing it’s limit
31% budget remaining
15% budget remaining
10% budget remaining
These in app notifications don’t require any action
the Client’s services have ended due to an expired budget
This in app notification requires service change for the Client (if applicable)
